Biological reserve "Medukhovo"

"Medukhovo" is a biological reserve of republican significance. Included in the "great upland trinity of Belarus". It was founded in 1996 to protect the forest area with complexes of rare, endangered and economically useful plants and animals. Area - 1312 hectares. Indigenous oak forests, spruce forests, black alder forests, balsam poplar cultures, birch forests. 492 species of higher vascular plants, including rare endangered ones: mountain swimsuit, Sarmatian censer, Siberian iris, etc. The fauna includes 19 species of mammals, 10 amphibians and reptiles, 88 species of birds.
